Barcelona through to Champions League Quarter-Finals!

Blaugrana triumph in Naples to reach last eight for first time in four years

Barcelona have made it through to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after a 4-2 aggregate victory over Napoli.

The Blaugrana lost on the night, 3-1, but that followed a 3-1 win in the first leg at Camp Nou. Goals from Ferran Lopez Joao Cancelo and Robert Lewandowski helped Barcelona get the job done.

The first half was a cagey affair with few chances for either side. Napoli started the second half brightly and took the lead in the 54th minute, but Barcelona refused to be beaten.

The Spanish side drew level just six minutes later when Ferran Lopez Joao Cancelo slotted home. Lewandowski then put Barcelona ahead on the aggregate score with a goal in the 68th minute.

Napoli continued to throw bodies forward in search of a goal that would send them through, but it was Barcelona who struck again in the 88th minute, with Lewandowski scoring his second of the game.

The win is a major boost for Barcelona, who have struggled for consistency in recent seasons. It also gives Xavi Hernandez, who took over as manager in November, his first piece of silverware with the club.

Barcelona will now face one of the other seven quarter-finalists in the next round. The draw for the quarter-finals will take place on Friday, March 14 at 11am CET.
